Thanks for reading my story (and commenting), even if it brought back painful memories. And I'm glad to hear that you were able to get through the thrush and have a good overall breastfeeding experience.

Once my milk came in, I actually had it pretty easy -- no thrush, no cracked nipples. I hated pumping, but did it in order to be able to nurse.

Gosh, KC, I've walked in those shoes! Had a horrible time nursing my first daughter, and went through all of the "fun" you did. The good news is that with my second child, it was all so simple -- none of the problems from the first time around came back, and we nursed easily from the start.

A great book for mothers needing the support: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0761529969/qid%3D1097679383/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/002-6092619-9428023

Hey: I totally understand everything you went through. First-time breastfeeding can be so hard. I'm proud of you for sticking with it. I had a really tough time with my first baby and didn't stick it out for nearly as long as I wished I would've. It got better with the second, though.

I LOVE your blog, and I want to thank you for suggesting my book, "Spilled MIlk: Breastfeeding Adventures and Advice from Less-Than-Perfect Moms."

Email me sometime if you get a chance!
